It takes a village to raise a child, and we want to be part of that village. Our goal to help kids live holy lives transformed by Christ through salvation, sanctification, and spiritual growth. We do that by introducing the kids and their families to Jesus through love, mentoring, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, service, fun, and friendship in a safe child-friendly environment with screened staff. The children's department at Shawnee First Church of the Nazarene isn't just for the kids, but for their entire families. We aim to support families in leading Christ centered lives and helping pass that legacy on to the next generation.

Coming soon... Wednesday Discipleship classes (starts after Christmas)
Rovercomer talks in a dog
dialect that only the teacher can understand. His wild gestures and colorful
costume make him a real attention-grabber. With the help of a cleverly-written
script, the teacher interprets Rovercomer’s story for the class.
We use a number of praise and worship songs just for children’s
church, and we’ve provided the lyrics on screen to help them sing
along. Proverbs says that a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, and
we believe humor can open up an audience. Every volume of Kids On The
Move is equipped with comedic puppet skits for each lesson. These skits
are designed to provide both positive and negative role models for the
teacher to present in the classroom. We believe that children need to
hear the preaching of God’s Word just as adults do. The illustrated
sermon is the highlight of our weekly lesson. These messages come with
informative commentary so the teacher who presents them will understand
and be able to convey the central truth of each lesson. This is an exciting
opportunity for children to learn about God in a way that touches all
their senses. The Kids will tell you that they love this program and the
parents will agree!
